If those methods don't work-out, there is the Light Keeper Pro, which is a device that can detect faulty wires and electrically fix it (by sending a small shock through the wire) and also detect bad bulbs/fuses (this device is meant only for nonLED lights though - they do make one for LEDs, but I believe the company stated it couldn't be used on LED pre-lit trees). If that doesn't work, you can also try plugging each cord in directly to the wall (or via extension cords) to see if that works/lights up completely each strand.
